problem lowering WorkFit-S fully

Postby samb » Tue Oct 18, 2011 9:23 am

I've used a WorkFit-S dual sit/stand station at work for around a year, and really love it.
It worked great for several months, but then over the last couple of months I've found that I can no longer lower it all the way down.
In fact, it seems that over time the problem keeps getting worse.
At first it just wouldn't quite go all the way down. Since then it's crept up so that it now stops about 4 inches from the bottom of the stand.
Here's a picture showing how low it can currently go:

I can still raise it fully for standing.
I've tried adjusting the tension, but it doesn't seem to make any difference to the height problem.

Is there something else I can adjust, or do you have any suggestions?

Thanks!

This reduction of travel is the result of the slides "locking". They can be "reset" to normal by forcing the lift all the way down. Give it a good hard push!

That fixed it!
I never tried to forcefully push beyond the stopping point before because I was afraid of breaking the mechanism.
Thanks for your help (and such a quick response)!

This helped me too. I spent quite a bit of time looking for the same answer before coming across this forum post.

Can I recommend you add it to the main product documentation?

thanks!
