WorkFit-S Dual Maximum height.

WorkFit-S Dual Maximum height.

Postby Gary » Wed Apr 08, 2015 1:05 am

Hi,

We have 3 WorkFit-S Dual models set up with the same configuration (same monitors, keyboards, desks etc). The one I'm using seems to be losing it's maximum height. I'm not talking about it not able to stay in position, I'm talking about not being able to lift it to the same height as before.

For example, the workstation next to me has a height of about 970mm from the desktop surface to the top of the monitors. My workstation originally started at about 965mm. The maximum height is slowly decreasing though. Now I can only get it up to 925mm before it come to a hard stop (both have the monitor height adjustments in the max position - about 90mm to the base of the monitor from the working area).

It seems to be something internal to the moving tracks inside. Is there something that we can change to get it back to the full range as before?

Hi Gary,

When it gets to that point, does it just stay there, or does it sag a bit? One thing that you can try is "resetting" the WorkFit-S. To do this, lower it with one hand on the handle & one hand on the workstation surface - when it gets to the low point, push on the workstation surface a little bit - you should hear the sound of the desk "reset". Afterwards, you should be able to have the full range of motion that you had before.

I hope this helps!

Hi Justin,

Thank you for the suggestion. It did indeed make a difference. It's still not at the full range compared one of the other setups but it's much better.

Regards,

Gary

I have a Workfit-S, single LCD Mount, LD which has locked in the upper position. I have followed the advice on the forums to tighten the adjustment nut fully in an attempt to release the E-brake. I have also exerted pressure on the column. Neither solution has worked and it feels as though the adjustment bolt has now stripped its thread. Although I can't be sure of the last part. Any suggestions please?

I tried the suggestion of pushing it down, but it did not fix the problem. Can you please guide me to the ergotron service centre in India, to fix this problem?
