Several months ago, I purchased a Neo-Flex Mobile MediaCenter cart. It functions well as a stand for the LCD TV. But a TV is just one component of the modern media center.
I considered upgrading with the Camera Shelf Kit. But I realized that the small platform would be inadequate for the intended multitude of accessories.
To secure heavier items such as antennas, the platform would need to perforated like pegboard, for zip ties. This is standard on rack shelves.
Simply lenghtening the platworm's width would allow more item placement. But most accessories need to be mounted in the center. Here are some examples: Wii Sensor Bar, Playstation Eye, XBox Kinect, Web Conference Cam, IR repeaters. The cameras can be placed side by side. But the sensor bars are very long. Therefore, it may be necessary to have tiers of platforms. Either more platforms could be added to the bracket mount. Or the platforms could be raised with standoffs.
Thank you for your consideration.
